The Data Change Management Comprehensive View lets data stewards compare and process several tickets for a single contact at once. This view helps the data steward understand how and why changes were made to a contact.
All data stewards have basic access to the Comprehensive View. However, the Comprehensive View does respect folder access rights by default. To access the Comprehensive View, data stewards must have Add, Edit, and Delete permissions set for both the contact’s source folder and the folder in which companies are sourced. If these permissions are not set, access to the Comprehensive View is denied.
However, you can configure InterAction to give full edit rights when a particular data steward user or group accesses the Comprehensive View. This setting lets the data steward user or group bypass folder rights. For example, if a data steward does not have Delete rights on contact information, giving full edit rights to the Comprehensive View overrides this setting and the data steward can open the Comprehensive View and process tickets that may delete contact information.
Give Full Edit Rights in the Comprehensive View
This procedure gives full edit rights to the Comprehensive View for a particular Data Change Management user or group. This lets the user or group access the Comprehensive View and process tickets, regardless of the folder access rights given to the user or group.
- Log on to InterAction Administrator.
- On the main window of InterAction Administrator, double-click Data Change Management Configuration.
Choose Users and Groups.
- Choose the user or group to give full Comprehensive View edit rights then select the Comp. View Full Edit Access check box.
- When finished, choose Close.
